Built in the 19th Century, the building has been a part of the City of Hamilton from the very beginning. Great care was taken in renovating the upper level flats to keep the charm from its past while also adding all of the modern amenities you would expect to have today.
In our earliest account of the building, it was called Rumpl’s Hall. The first floor storefront was occupied by Burg’s Store from 1833 until around 1911 when it was sold to Grimmer & Long
(see pictured in 1912 above).
Also in the building was Voss Grocery and Beeler Drug Company
(see both pictured in 1907 above).
